Due for SNOW!
Hello everyone,
We have just come back from Red mountain. After our two rest days we were really up for today. We got a liftup the hill with a canadian chap called Al and his little pug dog 'jaguar' though he wasnt quite as viscious as his name suggests! And sat very quietly on Jess' knee in the front of the car smelling quite strongly of chicken.
He was really friendly and drove us right to the lifts even though he wasnt going there himself.
We had a a bit of a chat with madeline the liftie from England (who tried to convert Jess to skier!) then went up and had a brilliant morning. Even though it hasn't snowed here in days, the snow that was there after being softend up by the warm weather was actually suprisingly good.
We made the most of it and Jess really got her finger out putting in some excellent runs.
I continued to make a fool of myself by riding switch.
Today was the busiest day we had seen at Red. THere must have been a million school kids there (more like a hundred, but a bloody lot of em) They must have been on school trips or something.
We had some lunch, a few more runs (little Jessie hurting her little arm after a bad fall) then came home via Andy, a canadian snowboard instructor who couldnt help himself giving Jess a few extra pointers.
Oh and not to worry, Jess' arm is now feeling alot better : )
We arrived home to our lovely (now clean) apartment. This was after being a bit bored yesterday; myself cleanign each room and making it look a bit better. Boring i know but it looks alot nicer now.
We a a snack got showered and now we are here at the library of Rossland typing this and being constantly annoyed by a women behind me singing over and over again, "twinkle twinkle little star!" And the obviosly confused child accompanying her.. "with a quack quack here, a quack quack there.."
"no no... like a diamond in the sky"
"and on that farm he had some pigs!"
Rebelious little fellow, you fight the power!
Ive just been looking at the weather reports and Rossland is due some Snow! It might mean a bit of rain in town but at least it will be snowing up top!
Bye for now! Daniel & Jessica

Hello bears!
Danny and jessy bears.
here bears.
for you bears
ooooo bears...
Anyway. How go there?
In the library again : )
T'other day and tother before that was snowboard days. Though yesterday after an hour and Jess falling over on the lift and hurting her little knee we went home early.
We got a lift back with Hamish Snow of all people!!!
Our long time friend from the hostel and also works for angela. He had borowed a jeep from his friend so had a lift!
When we got back to our 'empty of all fun things' apartment, we had to formulate a plan for entertainment..
This started off (and has not quite finished in Dan's eyes) thinking about buying our very own 'brand new' dog. Jess especially wants a sausage make dog. The long thin flat things that look like slugs.
(here jess just added 'cute slugs!' as if that would be its saving grace!)
Anywho, the dog i want is a south-western mongolise fighting midget pug!
We put this thought to the back of our minds for abit as we thought it might become a bit costly as at some point the dog might need feeding. Or even worse, it could break and cost alot to mend.
In search of something cheaper we bought two tickets first class on the mental bus down to trail..
Bearing in mind we must have been pretty desperate for things to do as as soon as we start decending down into Trail Jess instantly begins to feel ill and it stays with her the whole time until we can come home. Weird girl. ITS THE POLLUTION DAN :(
Once there we immeiately looked from one terrible shop to another. (all the shops in Trail sell brick-a-brack like the everthings a pound shop or the farm foods of England)
We purchased one princess fairy colouring book and crayons for Jess. And for Dan (the more grown up of the two) some coloured construction paper and colererered pencils!!
After an hour or two in the polution filled town of small people, ill people and over weight people it was finally time to come back to lovely Rossland.
SO with our very own Rossland tramp in tow, we headed back!
Oh and one interesting thing me and Jessie found out today is that the homeless fellow lives in ourback garden!! theres a caravan which has been upside down and covered in snow for some time and today he tipped it over, brushed the snow away and is now living in it!!
:)
Last night we sat up until almost midnight drawing pictures and colouring in (respectively).
We even devised a plan for the next time our landlords show a potential buyer round our lovely 'bed free' home, we wrote one big letter on each bit of card and stuck it to our bedroom wall to form a sign, which read.. "GET US A BED"
It looks very funny in coloured card! We also drew pictures of each other and all the people from back home! Whch matthew and James can see (and whoever else decides to come and visit us!!)
TOday is another rest day for us and tomorrow we start our snowboarding practise again!
More snow due on Friday!! whooohooo!
RIght now i must call it a day as little Jessie is hungy!! Bye for now From Dan and Jess : )
